Residence and housing So, you're coming to Georgian from out of town or even from abroad. Where will you live? Barrie Campus If you're planning to attend the Barrie Campus, you'll want to check out our 525-bed residence. The residence is an eight-storey building with 24-hour controlled access. The residence contains mostly two-bedroom suites, where each student has a private fully furnished bedroom. Each suite has a kitchenette which contains a full-size refrigerator, a microwave/convection oven, kitchen cupboards, kitchen sink, and kitchen table with two chairs. The suite also features a three-piece bathroom with a shower unit. Internet, telephone with basic phone service and a television with satellite service are also included. Located on every floor of the residence is a large common lounge with a television and couches for the students of that floor to use. Located on the first floor of the residence are a common kitchen, coin-operated laundry facilities and a study lounge. Behind the residence are two beach volleyball courts and a sport court which can be used for a variety of sports such as ball hockey, rollerblade hockey and basketball. The privately managed Campus View Residence features four-bedroom suites, with two bathrooms, a kitchen and a spacious living room. Each bedroom offers a double bed, desk and work area with chair and lamp, closet space with rack, wireless internet access and a cable outlet. The washrooms contain double sinks and bathtubs with showers. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, breakfast bar with chairs, dishwasher, oven and stovetop, and food preparation area complete with sink and storage area. You will love the furnished living room and its LCD flat-screen television – it's a great social spot. All this is only a five-minute walk to class.
