Wednesday, June 24 | 10 a.m. Stephanie Gourlie Murray (class of 2008) is a proud graduate of Georgian College's Human Resources program and an accomplished entrepreneur, business leader and community advocate. With more than 20 years of experience spanning human resources, sales and marketing, design, strategic business development and creative leadership, Stephanie has built a career defined by innovation, resilience and collaboration. As founder & president of Canada Granite Stone Surfaces and Intent Stone Design, and through her leadership roles with Jebco Group of Companies including Grydale North America and Ramsey North America, she has led multidisciplinary teams and transformative business initiatives across the manufacturing, fabrication and construction industries. Passionate about empowering others and creating opportunities, Stephanie is a strong advocate for diversity, inclusion and meaningful community impact. Her leadership extends well beyond business. Stephanie previously served on the Board of Directors and is a past president for the Barrie Chamber of Commerce and continues to support organizations and initiatives including Women in Construction, Young Leaders in Construction and Making Change SC. She's also currently Chair of the RVH Foundation Keep Life Wild Barrie Campaign Cabinet. Stephanie's journey is a powerful example of how determination, creativity and modern leadership can create lasting impact, in business, in community and in the lives of others. As founding partner of Innovative Automation Inc. and The Innovative Group of Companies, Steve championed innovation, industry collaboration and experiential learning while creating meaningful opportunities for Georgian students and graduates. Serving as Vice Chair of Georgian's Board of Governors at the time of his passing, he played a pivotal role in advancing the college's strategic priorities, including support for the expansion of the Centre for Skilled Trades at the Barrie Campus and student-focused fundraising initiatives. Known for his humility, generosity and ability to bring people together, Steve believed deeply in the transformative power of education and leaves a lasting legacy of leadership, community-building and service.
