DESIGN, ARTS AND LANGUAGE Diploma programs PROGRAM DETAILS CREDENTIAL CAREER OPTIONS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business JDBB n Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business provides students with the hands-on experience and skills for a successful career in the jewellery industry. With access to industry experts, seasoned faculty and studios equipped with the latest technologies, students gain valuable expertise in stone setting, jewellery repair, and the creation of custom jewellery using hand fabrication and finishing techniques. Practical skillsets are further complemented through the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software, which is of growing importance in the jewellery industry. With first-hand experience working in and managing the campus jewellery store, this unique program helps student broaden their focus to sales, marketing, accounting and business practices suitable for small businesses, and for creating and managing an online presence. Visual and Digital Media Arts VDMA n In this program, students develop their creative abilities and artistic skills using the latest digital tools and a variety of traditional media. Through a combination of creative course content and hands-on studio practice, students develop their interests and skills in a variety of techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital art, 3D modelling, 3D printing, photography, and extended reality (VR, AR) that help bring their artistic vision to life. Experiential art studios and unique media labs provide a hands-on environment to foster essential visual art skills. Students engage with the work of contemporary artists and have opportunities to showcase their own work in the Campus Gallery. Through immersive and leading-edge art education, students foster critical thinking, social innovation, and entrepreneurial skills, which are essential for success within the diverse professions in the visual arts.
