• The Schulich Foundation established 10 game-changing scholarships to combat the shortage of skilled trades professionals and amplify the importance of the sector. Five students enrolled in a one-year certificate and five enrolled in a two-year diploma will receive $20,000 for each year of their program. • The Georgian Gala, presented by BMO and co-chaired by alumni Ali Khonsari (class of 1997 and Hon. Degree recipient 2024) and Addison Wallwin (classes of 2015 and 2019), secured $410,000+ in net proceeds to benefit Georgian's award, bursary and scholarship program as well as the Georgian Food Locker. Over the past two years, 6,000+ requests have been made by students for Food Locker support. • Georgian supporters swung high to help deserving students. The 33rd Georgian Golf Classic, presented by BMO, secured more than $205,000 in net proceeds to create new financial aid offerings for deserving Georgian students. • Jazz Aviation LP donated a Boeing 757 door trainer to help students prepare to handle emergencies in airline careers. • More than 54 new awards, scholarships and bursaries were established by donors. For example, Performance Boat Club Events Inc. donated $20,000 to support the creation of new entrance and in-course awards for marine mechanic students. They joined 800+ organizations and associations actively supporting student success in this way. • Several organizations joined Georgian's partnership ecosystem, including Great Gulf, which launched an Innovation Award Suite to help support sustainable skilled trades education. This collaboration includes scholarships, benefiting 24 students, and exclusive access to Great Gulf's facilities for applied research. • PBS Systems signed an exclusive agreement enabling automotive business students to learn on industry-leading software. As part of the multifaceted partnership, PBS will fund scholarships and continue to sponsor signature events like the Georgian College Auto Show.
