COMMUNITY
We live in an increasingly interconnected world and
continue to foster global citizens through study abroad
opportunities, student exchanges and short-term
mobility programs:
• Students immersed themselves in Indigenous
cultural learning in Wollongong, Australia, and
participated in combined classroom and practical
experience through a partnership with the
Universidad de Almería in Spain. These opportunities
of a lifetime enhanced their personal and
professional growth.
• Faculty visited Thailand to present their knowledge
on open educational resources, which are free and
adaptable materials for teaching, learning and
research and are eliminating barriers for students
who can't afford textbooks.
• We remain committed to global engagement
and continue to explore collaborative partnership
opportunities in a variety of markets and regions.
We're also routinely sought out to share
our expertise.
• Members of Team Georgian advanced a capacity-
building project with three other Canadian colleges
in Kenya to increase the participation of youth,
particularly women, in market-relevant skills
training programs.
