These transactions include sales, purchases, payroll, collection of accounts receivable, payment of bills, paying taxes, and more. Students learn how to record, report and manage financial transactions in order to assist management personnel in making key operating, investing and financing decisions. The program consists of courses that include both theory and computer application. GeorgianCollege.ca/PTBOKP OCAS application required (program code: BOKO) Ontario College Certificate Accounting clerk, bank teller, bookkeeper, cash balancer, customer service, and payroll clerk. 9 program courses, 1 program option course, 1 communication course, and 1 general education course. Business Fundamentals BSFN n Students develop the skills and knowledge appropriate for an entry-level position in business. Completion of the program provides students with a solid business foundation, while exposure to core business courses allows them to understand the different areas of business and better choose an area of focus. After successful completion of the program, students are eligible to enrol in a number of Georgian's Business diploma programs. GeorgianCollege.ca/PTBSFN No application required Ontario College Certificate Graduates may find employment in sales, marketing and customer service in banks, finance, insurance companies, computer firms, government ministries/agencies, consumer/industrial producers, wholesalers, retailers, and non-profit companies. 9 program courses, 2 communications courses, and 1 general education course. Office Administration – General OFAG n Students are prepared to assist in a wide variety of entry-level positions in office settings by gaining skills and knowledge to support the management of an organization. Students achieve a solid foundation for further educational growth by learning three key and interdependent functions: organization, processing information and communication. Students may elect to transition for an additional year into enhanced and specialized learning leading to an Office Administration – Health Services or Office Administration – Executive diploma. Initially, students in all Office Administration streams enrol in a common first semester. In their second semester, they have course selection options to complement the prescribed general curriculum. This certificate can be used to fast-track into the second year of Office Administration − Health Services or Office Administration − Executive diplomas.
