21 GEORGIANVIEW 2024 PRINT EDITION AUTOMOTIvE BUSINESS SCHOOL OF CANADA (ABSC) Boyer Auto Group celebrates connection to college by paying it forward for ABSC students The Boyer Auto Group is creating a new award for students at Georgian's Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC) with a $56,000 donation through the Boyer Family Charitable Fund. The generous donation establishes a new perpetual endowment fund in support of student financial aid. The Boyer Auto Group Award will be presented annually to a full-time student enrolled in their second year of the ABSC degree or diploma programs. Brandon Boyer, who is a proud ABSC alumnus (class of 2004) having graduated from the Business Administration − Automotive Marketing program, visited the ABSC where he represented his family and the Boyer Auto Group. Starting in 1981 with one small dealership, the Boyer Auto Group now owns 14 dealerships, representing 16 brands and six collision centres. Very loyal to the Georgian experience, the Boyer Auto Group requires all general managers to complete the Automotive Dealership Management program with ABSC. "Receiving the Boyer Auto Group Award has not only alleviated some of the financial burden associated with pursuing my ABSC education but has also served as a tremendous source of motivation and encouragement for me. This award represents more than just financial assistance; it symbolizes the belief that individuals have in the potential of students striving for excellence. This generosity has inspired me to work even harder to achieve my academic and career goals, and I am truly honoured to be recognized as the first recipient. I hope to one day positively impact someone's life as mine has been." Paying it forward says Brandon. "Our contribution to Georgian will help deserving ABSC students in need." "We deeply appreciate the generosity of the Boyer Auto Group and for investing in the future," says David Bell, Associate Vice President, Advancement and Alumni Relations. "Our financial aid program helps to remove barriers to student success and we're grateful to the Boyer family for this gift." | Sukhmanveer Kaur, inaugural recipient of the Boyer Auto Group Award
