CONVOCATION 2024 | GeorgianCollege.ca 49 Board of Governors' Honorary Bachelor of Applied Studies Degree 2024 recipient (10 a.m.) Ali Khonsari Owner, Image Dental Lab Ali will receive an Honorary Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Ali Khonsari (class of 1997) is a proud Georgian alumnus who graduated with a Business Administration – Marketing diploma. Ali also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in Florida. Together with his wife and business partner, Ali operates Image Dental Laboratory. An entrepreneur at heart, Ali is always seeking new ways to innovate and is forever curious about the power of technology. A community leader and changemaker, he's a Georgian 'Grizzly' who gives back in significant ways. Ali has been part of Georgian's growth story for nearly three decades as a student turned alum, a loyal volunteer, a dedicated Governor, and a generous philanthropist. Notably, Ali served as Chair of the Board of Governors and in a variety of leadership roles across advisory committees at the college. A member of the Board of Directors for the Barrie Community Foundation, Ali is an active Rotarian and recently received a Paul Harris Award. Featured alumni speaker (10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) Dale Boyle Business Administration, Advanced Diploma (class of 2012) Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) (class of 2021) Dale Boyle is a graduate of the Business Administration, Advanced Diploma, and the Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) programs. Dale has most recently been awarded the 2024 Board of Governors' Award of Distinction – Distinguished Alumni Award (Changemaker) for his work as a community advocate. Dale has been recognized by Simcoe Pride as the recipient of the of Person of the Year Award in 2015. He currently serves as Executive Director at the Gilbert Centre, as a board member and Past Chair for New Path Youth and Family Services, and as Research Associate in the Research and Innovation department at Georgian College. #ProudGeorgianGrad
