Arjun Batra
Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automotive Manufacturing
(class of 2007)
As founder of three businesses, Arjun is a successful
entrepreneur and engaged community volunteer.
Arjun says his experience at Georgian provided the springboard
for his career. His first business, Doon School, now with more
than 2,000 secondary school graduates, was inspired by his 100
per cent grade in calculus and part-time job as a math tutor.
Arjun served on Georgian's Alumni Association Executive Council
as chair, is now a Board of Governors' Advancement Committee
member and was honoured with the Georgian College Board of
Governors' Distinguished Alumni Award in 2022.

Sara Bingham
Communicative Disorders Assistant
(class of 1994)
Sara is a therapist, entrepreneur and
author, and is committed to changing
the world. Through WeeHands Baby
Sign Language, she's taught families,
educators and other caregivers how
to use American Sign Language to
communicate with their infants and
toddlers. Sara was one of 50 people
across Canada to receive the 2021
Globe and Mail Report on Business
Changemaker Award.
