Through a combination of practical and theory- based learning methods, students develop skills in the production and management of social media, communications, video and audio production, photography and web design. Focusing on user experience and design functionality, students gain and develop skills through a combination of independent and collaborative projects applied in the context of content creation, strategy and curation. Students assess client needs and focus on function-based design solutions and aesthetic, durability and environmental considerations. This program covers technical documentation, specification conventions, fabrication methods, infrastructure issues and relevant business practices. Students deepen their critical thinking and analytical skills while widening their worldview. The program opens doors and builds pathways to further studies at either the college or university level. Upon completing the two-year diploma, students are eligible for university articulation agreements that offer excellent credit transfer. With a liberal studies education, students gain confidence in their academic skills and abilities, while developing essential skills for employment.
