HSCI 0269 | 4 HRS l Fee: $62 Essential Skills for Supportive Care − Client's Rights and Workplace Legislation In this course, students are introduced to the current Ontario legislation that guides the day-to-day activities of health-care attendants, their health and safety, and the health and safety of those in their care. This course is part of the Essential Skills for Supportive Care micro-credentials certificate. HSCI 0271 | 3 HRS l Fee: $62 Essential Skills for Supportive Care − Documentation and Terminology In this course, students are introduced to the terminology they will encounter as part of the health-care team and to identify medical terms by their components. Students learn the importance of effective documentation for patient care, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Students learn about different types of stress and identify common stressors that can impact personal performance while discovering strategies and techniques to promote resiliency and effective responses in demanding situations.
