25 GEORGIANVIEW SPRING 2023 UNRIvALED ExPERIENCE What's the biggest change the college faces? Advances in and the disruption of technology. The pandemic accelerated transformations in how we teach, deliver service and how students learn. Students want in-person connections, but they also expect flexible, personalized learning and service delivery – from the moment they apply to when they graduate. In response, we're introducing new technology not to replace the care we're known for but to enhance it. Can you share some examples? Imagine applying to college and being presented with an offer of admission within minutes? This will soon be possible. Georgian is one of the first colleges to pilot a near real-time admissions experience. We also launched MyGCLife, a one-stop portal where students can find answers to service-related questions faster, connect with our services, and more. This is significant because students don't always know where to go for help. Contrary to what people may think, technology is deepening our connections and allowing us a more fulsome understanding of the student experience so we can provide effective support. For example, we implemented a platform that can proactively identify students at risk and coordinate a network of care to intervene in the right ways at the right time. We're also using technology to personally connect with unsuccessful applicants so we can turn them into future Grizzlies. It would be easy to give up when not accepted, but we're finding pathways to make people's goals possible. What's guiding Georgian through these changes? We launched a bold strategy in 2020 to re-imagine our programs, services and systems from the lens of today's learners so we can provide an unrivaled student experience.
