Following graduation, Maria was accepted into a banking advisor training program
with RBC Royal Bank. Maria has also completed her Personal Financial Planning
designation, Qualified Associate Financial Planner designation, Branch Compliance
Officer and Investment Funds In Canada and is a fellow of the Canadian Securities
Institute. In 2022, Maria became the Vice President, Commercial Financial Services,
for RBC Royal Bank, based out of Hamilton, Ontario. In 2015, Maria was recognized
as a Forty Under 40 recipient and in 2019, Maria was the recipient of the Global
Citizen Award from RBC Royal Bank. Maria continues to feed her passion around
financial literacy through volunteer leadership with Junior Achievement where
she works to empower students through various programs to reach their highest
potential. Maria is a long-standing member of the Georgian College Alumni
Association Executive Council. Maria also serves on the PFP advisory council with
the Canadian Securities Institute.
One of two children to immigrant parents, she has used her love of volunteering
and giving back to her community to support financial literacy programs, the
empowerment of women, and supporting her postsecondary alma maters.
