ADMISSION PROCESS 1 Your NEXT STEPS TO BECOMING A GEORGIAN STUDENT 1 1 1 1 1 1 WELCOME TO GEORGIAN! ADMISSION PROCESS | 29 Apply for college Apply online through the International Application System (IAS) international.ontariocolleges.ca/applicant, where program availability is available. If you're applying through an agent, please apply through international.ontariocolleges.ca/agent. Program availability varies by intake. Visit GeorgianCollege.ca/ international for details. Applicants are urged to apply as early as possible to ensure there is sufficient time to obtain a study permit/student VISA. Programs marked as highly competitive have an equal consideration deadline and will not receive an admission decision until after the deadline passes. Include your documentation Include English language test scores, academic records and other translated documentation. Proof of graduation, subjects taken and grades received are required. Accept your offer You (or your representative) will receive an email through the International Application System (IAS) with our admission decision and next steps. When an offer is issued, you can accept it immediately. Timeline for letters of acceptance can vary depending on time of year and application volumes. Pay your deposit To secure a seat in your program, please submit your tuition deposit (minimum $2,500 CAD via FlyWire) by the deadline on your offer letter. Once your deposit is processed, you will receive a letter of acceptance (needed for study permit application). Apply for your study permit/student VISA Once you have the letter of acceptance and a tuition deposit receipt, you should apply for your study permit/student VISA as soon as possible so that you can obtain the VISA document to start your program on time. Once you have received your student VISA, you must upload it to the International Application System (IAS) portal before you can register for your courses. Find housing You will need to secure housing as soon as possible. Visit GeorgianCollege.ca/housing to view all options. Prepare for travel Visit GeorgianCollege.ca/international for information on registering for classes, airport pick-up, orientation dates and semester start dates. The Georgian College Entrance Scholarship is worth $2,000 in the first semester and is awarded to new, eligible students joining Georgian. Limited number of scholarships available.
