Ishaan Sachdeva | Business graduate and current Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) student Ishaan Sachdeva picked Georgian because it offers many leadership and co-curricular opportunities. The award-winning business degree student is a changemaker who loves to get involved. In fact, he's held student leadership positions since he was a junior house captain in grade five, in New Delhi, India. In his first semester, Ishaan started the Enactus Georgian club, which won a National Rookie Club Award. He's since led several innovative college projects and events. He brings his passion for social impact to his role as Barrie Georgian College Students' Association (GCSA) President. In addition to supporting a wide variety of initiatives – Orientation, social events, clubs, athletics, and more – Ishaan also successfully advocated for free female hygiene products in campus washrooms. But he didn't become the powerhouse he is today without a little help. "I've used every service at Georgian. Every single one," he says with a laugh. "And I encourage new students to get involved and use college resources as well." Student Services There are a lot of student resources, volunteer and work opportunities, varsity teams, and clubs and campus events to keep you engaged with campus life. Friendly staff support you throughout your academic journey, from application to arrival and convocation. What we offer Arrival services: Through the Georgian Assist arrival app, students have access to helpful pre-arrival resources to prepare for their journey to Canada. Airport pick-up and temporary accommodation can also be arranged. Immigration support: There are three student immigration advisors available to assist all current international students with maintaining their status while studying. This includes support through appointments and immigration information sessions. Student engagement: One of the best ways to get involved and make new friends is to join events and cultural activities organized by the Segal International Centre.
