Graduates of this program will build on previous design education and experience to gain industry-standard skills and expertise applicable to the kitchen and bath industry. Students assess client needs and focus on function-based design solutions and aesthetic, durability and environmental considerations. This program covers technical documentation, specification conventions, fabrication methods, infrastructure issues and relevant business practices. Students deepen their critical thinking and analytical skills while widening their worldview. The program opens doors and builds pathways to further studies at either the college or university level. Upon completing the two- year diploma, students are eligible for university articulation agreements that offer excellent credit transfer. With a liberal studies education, students gain confidence in their academic skills and abilities, while developing essential skills for employment.
