"Whether it's help with paying tuition, their rent, or simply putting food on the table, our donors are a vital part of the student journey and in helping to ensure that they can reach their finish lines." When considering a legacy gift to Georgian, Campbell says there are many ways that someone can provide financial support for students in their estate plans. "Everyone has the capacity to make a difference, and what that looks like is different for each person. Some donors may wish to include Georgian as a beneficiary of a bequest in their will, while it might make sense for others to name Georgian as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Everyone's circumstances are different, which is why it is so important to have a conversation with your lawyer or financial advisor about your wishes ahead of time and to get them documented. It isn't just about the tax benefits – it's also about ensuring that your wishes are respected and that you are able to establish a legacy that you and your loved ones can feel good about."
