GEORGIAN through the years
We first opened our doors in 1967, in a modest storefront operation in the Wellington Plaza in downtown
Barrie. We had 101 students enrolled in five programs. Since then, we've become home to 13,000 students,
more than 90,000 alumni, seven campuses and more than 130 market-driven programs.
In 1968, we held our first convocation with seven graduates from the medical secretary program.
This October, 1,853 students will graduate.
A lot has changed in 54 years, but two things remain the same: the first is our unwavering commitment to our
students, and the second is the high standard of excellence that our graduates continue to achieve, in our
community and around the world.
