In 2016, with the help of a $400,000 gift from guard.me International Insurance, Georgian opened the Segal International
Centre at the Barrie Campus to better serve the college's growing number of international students.
The investment from guard.me International Insurance has helped to create a multi-purpose, student-centric space
to welcome and support international students, while also informing the global perspective of our domestic students.
Internationalization is an essential part of the overall postsecondary experience, and will help prepare Georgian students
to work in a global environment after graduation.
Today, the centre's experienced team of multilingual and culturally astute staff support more than 3,600 students from 85
countries, and are helping to show the world how great our region really is.
