The Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre, a successful
outcome of phase one of the Power of Education
Campaign, continues to grow and expand as a result of
new investment and support during phase two of the
campaign.
For example, in 2014, local entrepreneur and
philanthropist Peter B. Moore accelerated the college's
entrepreneurship agenda by donating $250,000 to create
the Peter B. Moore Changemaker Space. The innovative
student-driven space enables students to identify
challenges, innovate and fabricate new solutions.
In 2017, to mark the college's 50th anniversary, local
entrepreneurs Chris Adams (member of the phase two
Campaign Cabinet) and Jessica Larche co-founded
FUND50, a campaign to support startups and to foster
an entrepreneurial mindset. This community-driven
campaign has raised more than $50,000 to date.
