WHAT YOU NEED TO GET IN
Admission requirements are different for each program. Find program-specific requirements

You'll also need to take the following steps to get into Georgian:
STUDENT CATEGORY BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
High school students You need to complete your high school diploma. If you receive a conditional acceptance, make sure
you meet requirements before starting at Georgian. Requirements could include passing courses,
maintaining your grades, and more.
If you don't obtain your high school diploma, visit GeorgianCollege.ca/ACP to check out Georgian's
Academic and Career Preparation program.
Mature applicants If you'll be 19 years of age (21 for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Collaborative Program) or older as
of the first day of classes at Georgian and don't have a high school diploma, you can apply as a mature
student. Here are ways you may meet requirements:
• Take courses at an Independent Learning Centre or another learning site recognized by the
Ministry of Education.
• Do your Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) or your Ontario High School Equivalency (GED)
certificate through Georgian's Academic and Career Preparation program.

• Take an English or math equivalency test through GeorgianCollege.ca/testingservices
(not applicable to degrees).
• Take equivalent credit courses at Georgian or another recognized college or university.
Applicants from
postsecondary
institutions
If you've taken courses from another accredited postsecondary institution, you may meet admission
requirements and be eligible for transfer credits. Visit GeorgianCollege.ca/CTC to learn more.

Home school
applicants
You can write a test that meets the minimum standards for admission.

English as a Second
Language applicants
You'll need to take an approved Language Proficiency test unless you've completed:
• Three years* in an English-speaking high school in a country where English is a primary language.
• A full year in an accredited postsecondary program in an English-speaking country (not applicable for
Pharmacy Technician). Visit GeorgianCollege.ca/admissions/policies-procedures

*Four years for Pharmacy Technician and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.
You may be eligible for admission into English for Academic Purposes, a preparatory program. Visit
GeorgianCollege.ca/EAP to learn more.

Georgian degree
applicants
You'll need at least six U or M level high school credits, including one mathematics course.

Partner degree
applicants
If you're enrolling in a Lakehead-Georgian degree-diploma, or degree program offered by a partner
institution at a Georgian campus, visit that institution's website for admission requirements. Most partner
programs will require you to apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC).
